W Calls it "Skynet"...

Well it has been two weeks of training today and I feel much better about how this might end. I have decided to cut out all soda and fast food restaurants to help get my body into better shape. My training has consisted of running, biking, and working out on the pull up bar. What has really helped kick my butt into shape was the recent purchase of a Sunnto M4 heart rate monitor.
This watch is awesome! It has a coaching feature that tells me what days I should work out and what days to rest. On the days that I am told to work out, it tells me to keep my heart rate in a specific range for a certain period of time. As you can see from the picture, I completed more than I was suppose to Saturday. On this particular day, I was chased by a rabid raccoon through the trails of Pandapa's Pond, which helped get me to 175%. That same run, I also got my max heart rate to 193 due to sprinting away from the raccoon for around 300 yards.

Today, I did the watch’s “fitness test” in which it determines if my fitness level has gone up since my last training series. Luckily, it went from “below average” to “very good!” So pumped about that! I just wish I could hook up the different pods that Suunto offers that could tell me different statistics.

Coming next will be a review of the new trail running shoes that are amazing…stay tuned!
